Dai Viet’s journey begins in the bustling heart of Eastwood, our story is intertwined with the legacy of Tan Viet, a name that many locals hold dear.

It all started years ago, in the kitchen of Tan Viet, where our founders family brought authentic Vietnamese flavors to Sydney. It wasn’t just about learning recipes—it was where every dish had a story. Over time, this bond grew stronger, and with it, a dream to continue and expand this culinary legacy.

When the time came, we had the incredible opportunity to take the reins, transforming the beloved Tan Viet into Dai Viet. Our name pays homage to Vietnam’s historic roots, evoking a sense of pride and honor in the rich culinary traditions of our homeland.

At Dai Viet, we’ve carried forward the dishes that earned Tan Viet its loyal following, like the famous crispy skin chicken and noodle soups, while also embracing the chance to bring our own touch to the menu.
